You can use this simple syrup recipe for any drink recipe and even when it calls for simple syrup in food recipes.
You will need 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water. Bring the sugar and water to a simmer, stirring while the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute. Pour into a heatproof glass container, cool. When cooled place into fridge. Now you have your simple syrup. This makes 3 cups.
Store this in a squeeze container or jar in the fridge. This solution keeps safely in your fridge for a tremendously long time. You can even use this as a substitute for agave syrup in other recipes.
